I was just out walking my dog in the MLK district. As I passed Wheat Street Baptist I wondered why there are so many churches all within mere feet of each other. I greeted the old fellows sitting out in front of Wheat Street tower and cut through the parking lot to a vacant lot that folks use as a cut-through. There was a fellow out working with a weed-eater. He stopped and said "We don't want dogs coming through here anymore." I inquired who owned the property as I've never seen anyone taking care of it. He responded that he was the pastor of the church and pointed to the building. He raised his voice a bit while saying that, and starting going off about people leaving dog poop in the field. My dog got nervous and sat down beside me. I tried to coax her to leave. He then started yelling "Don't make me call the cops! I am going to call the cops!" And that made my dog all the more nervous. I finally yelled back to him to stop yelling at me because he was scaring my dog. As I drug her off by the neck he said "God bless you." GOD BLESS ME? REALLY?? GOD BLESS ME? If that is Christianity, I want NONE of it. I want nothing to do with it. That is a fine example there Pastor Hypocrite! I encourage you all to examine who you have leading your church in that case. I guess this answers part of the question as to why so many churches exist within only a few feet of each other.
